Duration 1 Days
Overview

Discover the unique fire-related attractions of Azerbaijan on this half-day Absheron tour. This journey will take you to two of the most iconic fire landmarks in the country.

Itinerary:

Ateshgah Temple: Begin your tour at the mystical Ateshgah, also known as the "Fire Temple of Baku." This ancient temple, once a place of worship for Zoroastrians, Hindus, and Sikhs, is located on the Absheron Peninsula. The fire that burns at the centre of the temple adds to the spiritual atmosphere, making it a must-see destination for those interested in Azerbaijan’s rich history and ancient religions.

Yanardag (Burning Mountain): After visiting the temple, head to Yanardag, one of Azerbaijan’s most fascinating natural wonders. This “Burning Mountain” is famous for its continuously burning natural gas fire, which flames along the hillside. The fire has been burning for centuries, offering a dramatic view that truly lives up to Azerbaijan’s nickname, “The Land of Fire.”
